From groundbreaking to major milestones, the new Canyon Creek Elementary School campus has taken shape through steady progress and strong community support. Since construction began, the project has advanced from early grading and underground infrastructure to fully framed classroom buildings, roofing, interior finishes, playground areas, and site development.
Now just three months away from completion, the campus is entering the final stages of construction as crews focus on finish work, technology systems, paving, landscaping, furniture installation, and final inspections. Scheduled to open in August 2026, Canyon Creek Elementary will provide a modern learning environment designed to support students, families, and the continued growth of the community for years to come.

Stone Creek Elementary recently completed a new six-classroom wing, adding modern, flexible learning spaces that support collaboration and student success.

To accommodate continued growth while Canyon Creek Elementary is under construction, four temporary portable classrooms remain in use on campus. These portables will be removed in summer 2026 once Canyon Creek opens and enrollment balances across the district.

The project underscores GVUSD’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality learning environments that evolve with our community’s needs.
