Dear GVUSD Parents and Community,

Human trafficking has been a growing problem across the globe. The Madera Ranchos is not immune to this problem! In an effort to protect our kids, Golden Valley Unified School District has invited human trafficking expert, Opal Singleton, of Million Kids, to speak to our Middle School and High School students on October 24th.

We also Invite all of our parents to attend Opal’s Million Kids presentation on October 23rd at 9AM-11AM or 6PM- 8PM @ Liberty High School Theater.

Welcomes Human Trafficking and Child Pornography Expert

Opal Singleton





Human Trafficking and Child Pornography expert, Opal has educated tens of thousands of first responders, government agencies, civic leaders, school administrators, medical personnel, faith- based organizations and parents and grandparents about how predators operate and how to prevent young people from becoming victims of exploitation. Opal is an Instructor at USC, Sol Price Institute for Safe Communities. Opal sits on the Board of Directors of Rapha House International and has lived and worked in Cambodia combating child sex trafficking. Opal authored the 5-star Amazon Book “Seduced: The Grooming of America’s Teenagers.” Million Kids serves as the Training and Outreach Coordinator for the Riverside County Anti Human Trafficking Task Force and is contracted for human trafficking training services through the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department through a Department of Justice Contract. Opal often sits with parents searching for their missing children and takes calls from teens who are in trouble. Simply stated: Opal cares deeply about kids and their families.
